I photographed several baby elephants at the Orphanage after a visit to Africa in 2018. The image became a favorite.

I entered it at HMVC Gallery New York and it was a finalist in the “Creatures of the Earth, Sea & Air” competition. The finalists were shown on a Jumbotron in Times Square.

On a rainy September Sunday, the elephant orphans were shown. By the afternoon, the sun emerged. The elephant orphans had their day in the sun in New York.
