Black and White

When I began my photographic journey, my film work was black and white. As digital replaced black and white, I learned not only to embrace color, but to love its boldness and excitement.

After many years of doing color photography, it is exciting for me to return to my roots and re-discover the line, texture, shape and contrast of a black and white image. I find my black and white imagery is more emotional and timeless.

I was particularly excited when several of my black and white photos received Merit Awards by Black & White magazine.

While I will never stop using color in my photography, it is a pleasure to dip into the black and white photography in my past.
